My name is Aubrey Adler and I’m a newcomer to the world of young adult fiction.  Most of my writing has traditionally been focused on writing romance or fiction for adults.  However, I’ve recently been toying with a manuscript that I think would work well for young adults.  So, here I am!

I haven’t started penning the details, but I’m having a lot of fun exploring the world my characters will become part of once I do start writing.

Growing up, I was a big fan of young adult fiction, but it wasn’t what it is today.  I read Nancy Drew, Babysitter’s Club, Goosebumps, Fear Street, and Sweet Valley Twins most of the time.  Some of my favorite authors included Roald Dahl and Caroline B. Cooney.  Now, young adult fiction has expanded so much and made room for so many other possibilities!  Today, my favorite YA authors include Stephenie Meyers and Diana Peterfreund.

Currently, I’m reading Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians series.  I’m on book two The Sea of Monsters and enjoying it immensely.  I’ve always loved Greek mythology, so seeing how Rick has laced the gods into his work is so fascinating!
