When her sister and other freshmen disappear from their dormitories in the middle of Winter Solstice, Kady Madison is panicked that no one else seems to remember that they had ever existed.  After she is recruited by an elite search and rescue squad made up of supernaturals, Kady discovers her own dormant ability and must learn to master it.  As a united task force, they face the dark powers that are keeping her sister hidden.  Along the way, Kady discovers disturbing truths and unimaginable betrayal.  Will she be able to find and rescue the lost freshmen — or will she be forced to fight them?
